UPDATE: The Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on the proposed ordinance amendment at their Regular Meeting on Thursday, November 18, 2021 where no formal action was taken.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC
Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 5:00 p.m., the
Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider an
amendment to the Forsyth County Stormwater Management Code, otherwise known as
Forsyth County Ordinance 75 or Article V, Chapter 34 of the Forsyth County Code
of Ordinances. The public hearing will be held in the Commissioners’ Meeting
Room, Suite 220 of the Forsyth County Administration Building at 110 East Main
Street, Cumming, Georgia 30040. The purpose of the public hearing shall
be for public review and comment concerning a proposed modification to the
County’s stormwater management code, including support documents and manuals, to
ensure compliance with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division’s model
ordinance; to repeal conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes. A copy of
the proposed amendment is on file with the clerk in the Forsyth County
Administration Building at 110 East Main Street, Cumming, Georgia 30040 and
will be made available upon request. All Forsyth County residents and any
other affected and/or interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend.
