Public Hearing Regarding Land Disturbance Permit Moratorium
Update: At their meeting March 20, 2017, the Board of Commissioners approved extension of the moratorium until June 18, 2017. The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing on January 19, 2017, and voted to extend the temporary moratorium until March 20, 2017. District 4 Commissioner to Hold Community Meeting March 15
On Wednesday, March 15, District 4 Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills will host a Comprehensive Plan Update community meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Coal Mountain Community Building, located within Coal Mountain Park at 3560 Settingdown Road, to discuss the plan as it relates to District 4. The meeting will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. Information on the Comprehensive Plan Update, known as Foster Forsyth, can be found here: www.fosterforsyth.com.

Forsyth County Commissioners Sworn In
In a ceremony held December 21, 2016, at the Forsyth County Administration Building, one re-elected and two newly-elected members of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners were sworn in. Forsyth County Probate Judge Woody Jordan officiated. District 4 Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills was sworn in to serve her second term. Laura Semanson was sworn in as the new District 5 commissioner, and Rick Swope was sworn in as the incoming commissioner for District 2.
