Recycling & Solid Waste

County Recycling and Convenience Centers are open regular hours with slight operational changes.

UPDATE: Effective Saturday, June 27, the County’s Recycling Centers are once again accepting paint, electronics, tires and batteries.* Fees may apply.

The mission of the Forsyth County Recycling and Solid Waste Department is to manage the county’s solid waste in an environmentally sound, cost-effective, socially responsible and safe manner, in accordance with the vision of the Forsyth County Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan.

Forsyth County Recycling and Solid Waste Department operates three public convenience centers for recycling and disposal of bagged household trash. We operate Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Sundays and county holidays.

The centers accept cash only.
