Temporary Facility Closings

As the coronavirus situation rapidly progresses, we have made a decision to ensure we can continue to provide the high-quality care our members need while also preparing for the oncoming increase in the number of patients with COVID-19. Effective immediately, appointments at several Kaiser Permanente locations are being converted to a phone appt or moved to a different location. This will help us meet the increasing demand by consolidating our resources across the Region into our larger facilities.

The following facilities will be closed effective immediately*:

• Forsyth

• Sandy Springs

• Holly Springs

• Douglasville

• Conyers

• Stonecrest

• Newnan

• Fayette

• Decatur

• Brookwood

• Lawrenceville

• West Cobb

*This information is current as of March 16
th.If members have questions, please have them call 1-800-611-1811 to talk to an advice nurse 24/7.

On Sunday, we proactively began reaching out to impacted members to notify them of these changes. Appointments will be with the same provider but over the phone to reduce any chance of exposure to other ill patients. Providers will call members at or as close as possible to their scheduled appointment time. This process will continue throughout the week or coming weeks as we assess, and triage members' needs for care.

We will continue to use to keep our Georgia members updated on coronavirus-related information. We also recommend the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website for the most up-to-date health advisories and global coronavirus information.

Please send this update out to your employees and post on your company’s intranet site.
