About Capital Projects

The Capital Project department oversees the completion of large County construction projects. We actively manage the delivery of planning, design, construction and renovation of facilities, parks, roads, and water infrastructure, on time, within budget, and in support of the mission of Forsyth County and its responsibility to the community.

All of the department’s projects are planned as part of the County’s five-year Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The CIP is updated every year and aligned with the County’s operating budget to ensure that future projects are appropriately funded. The 2026-2030 Forsyth County 5-year Capital Improvement Program (pdf) was approved by the Board of Commissioners on August 21, 2025.
