In this episode of On the Move, Capital Projects Director John Jefferson discusses the improvements coming to Old Atlanta Road and what motorists should expect on their daily commute.
The project spans approximately 3.1 miles from James Burgess Rd. to St. Marlo Country Club Parkway. Future improvements include adding a lane in each direction, 20-foot-wide median, sidewalk and 10-foot-wide multiuse trail.
Fieldwork and tree clearing will continue into the fall. Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for trucks entering and leaving the roadway and expect delays.
