Tree Clearing for Old Atlanta Rd. Widening to Begin May 8
Preparations to widen Old Atlanta Rd. along 3.1 miles from James Burgess Rd. to St. Marlo Country Club Pkwy. are set to begin the morning of Monday, May 8. Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for trucks entering and leaving the roadway and expect delays.
Fieldwork and tree clearing will continue daily for the next four to six months.
Plans for the widening project include adding a lane in each direction, 20-foot-wide median, sidewalk and 10-foot-wide multiuse trail.
