VIDEO: Tennis Courts, Other Amenities Added to Matt Community Park
Six lighted tennis courts, a pavilionand restroom facilities have been added to Matt Community Park (6555 WallaceTatum Road) in northwest Forsyth County. The new facilities are located next tothe existing playground.
“I am excited to continue adding newfacilities to Matt Community Park,” said Forsyth County Parks and RecreationDirector Jim Pryor. “The tennis courts will provide an opportunity to expandour tennis programs to another area of the county and the courts will be thenew home to North Forsyth High School for their games.”
Forsyth CountyParks and Recreation hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 29 incelebration of these new amenities.
The design company for the new amenitieswas Breedlove & Associates and the funding was provided by SPLOST VII (B). Otheramenities at the park include four synthetic-turf rectangular fields, aplayground, two pavilions, restrooms and a multi-use trail. Matt Community Parkopened in Aug. 2016.
