Outgoing Forsyth County Commissioners Recognized for Service

At their December 15, 2016 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized outgoing Forsyth County Commissioners Brian Tam and Jim Boff for their public service and presented each with a Resolution of appreciation. Also during the meeting, Senator Michael Williams presented Resolutions to Commissioners Tam and Boff.

Tam took office on January 1, 2005, representing Commission District 2. He was elected by his fellow commissioners to serve as vice chairman of the Board of Commissioners in 2005 and 2006, elected chairman in 2011 and elected secretary from 2013 to 2016. During his tenure on the Board of Commissioners, Tam completed the Certified Commissioners’ Training Program through the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).

Boff took office on January 1, 2009, representing Commission District 5. He was elected by his fellow commissioners to serve as secretary of the Board of Commissioners in 2010, elected chairman in 2012 and elected vice chairman in 2013. During his tenure on the Board of Commissioners, Boff completed the Certified Commissioners’ Training Program through ACCG.
