Forsyth County Celebrates National Public Works Week, May 18-24
Forsyth County’s public works professionals focus on infrastructure, facilities, emergency management and services that are vitally important to maintain the health, high quality of life and well-being of the community.
At a May 15 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed the week of May 18-24, 2025, as National Public Works Week and encourages all citizens to thank a public works professional, engineer, manager or employee for their contributions to protecting our health and safety.
Public works professionals are responsible for rebuilding, improving and protecting our community’s transportation, water supply, water treatment and solid waste systems, public buildings and other structures and facilities essential for residents.
Members of various County departments, such as Water & Sewer, Engineering and Facilities, attended the Board meeting to receive the Public Works Week proclamation and be recognized for their dedicated service.
