Eagle Scout Recognized by Forsyth County Commissioners
At a June 19, 2025, meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized Eli Murphy, a rising junior at the Alliance Academy for Innovation, for obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and for supporting the community through extensive community service.
A member of Troop 513 in the Northeast Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Murphy earned the rank of Eagle Scout after completing his Eagle Project which consisted of building a garden along a fence line for Spectrum Autism Support in Duluth, which includes a variety of plants, creating a visually appealing and calming environment for those served by the organization.
Murphy dedicated over 33 hours of his own time to the project and led 24 volunteers who assisted with the project with more than 179 volunteer hours.
Murphy was joined by family members as he received the Resolution from the commissioners.
