Adrian Casey Named Director of Procurement For Forsyth County

Adrian Casey has been named Director of the Forsyth County Procurement Department, following her appointment to the interim director role in February 2023.

Casey brings 19 years of experience as a purchasing agent to the role, serving the County previously as a Procurement Agent II and Procurement Agent III.

“Forsyth County Procurement works hard to maintain a procurement system of quality and integrity, and to maximize the purchasing value of public funds,” said Chief Financial Officer Marc Turk. “We are very excited about all the expertise, experience and enthusiasm Adrian will bring to the role as Director.”

Before starting with the County in 2021, Casey worked as a Purchasing and Procurement Agent II at the Georgia Department of Public Health where she obtained her Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager Certification.

In 2022, Casey received her Certified Procurement Professional Designation from the National Institute of Government Purchasing (NIGP-CPP), which is anchored in the Public Procurement Competency Frameworks and evaluates the holistic capabilities needed to be a successful leader within a public entity.

Prior to moving to Georgia in 2020, Casey was appointed as a Qualified Purchasing Agent by the State of New Jersey, where she worked for 16 years.

Casey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University, and she has obtained certifications as a Registered Public Purchasing Official and Registered Public Purchasing Specialist from the Rutgers Center for Governmental Services.
