The mission of the Water and Sewer Engineering Division is to plan and implement a water and sewer system that will operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all State and Federal regulations, and to provide reliable long-term service to the residents of Forsyth County

The Water and Sewer Engineering Division responsibilities include water & sewer infrastructure planning and design, development plan review and permitting, construction inspection, backflow prevention, leak detection, project management, and easement acquisition.

Utility Easement Guidelines

The Forsyth County Water and Sewer Department wants to ensure that all customers who have a utility easement for sewer and/or water infrastructure on their property clearly understand the need to keep the easements clear and accessible.  Please contact Hillery Maradiaga, Right of Way Coordinator at 770-886-2795 if you have any questions or concerns regarding utility easements.
