Heather Hammons has been named Forsyth County Risk and Safety Manager effective July 5, 2021. Hammons replaces former Risk and Safety Manager Charity Clark after Clark was named director of Personnel Services. “Heather is an ideal fit for the position of risk and safety manager,” said County Manager Kevin Tanner. “We look forward to working with her in this role.” Hammons has worked for the County for 15 years with her last position being Claims Administrator before accepting this position. Forsyth County Receives Dividend from ACCG Insurance Program
Forsyth County has received a dividend in the amount of $125,320 from the Association County Commissioners of Georgia-lnterlocal Risk Management Agency (ACCG-IRMA) that will be applied in the form of a credit towards the county’s property and liability premium for the 2019-2020 policy year.   The dividend was made available because of successful and dedicated management efforts on the part of Forsyth County in promoting safety and implementing loss control techniques. Forsyth County Offices and Facilities Closing at 3 p.m. Friday; Closed Saturday and Sunday
January 6, 2017: Due to current weather conditions, all general Forsyth County government offices will close today at 3 p.m. This early closure includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse and Courthouse Annex, the Animal Shelter, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services, and Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities. All Parks & Recreation programs and activities are cancelled.   Additionally, Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities, the recycling convenience centers and the Animal Shelter will be closed to the public Saturday and Sunday. All Parks & Recreation programs and activities are cancelled Saturday and Sunday.
