Forsyth County Announces Property Tax Rates Expected to Remain Unchanged; Increase in Tax Dollars from Growth in Tax Digest
Three public hearings to allow for public input   The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners today announces its intention to maintain the county’s millage rates currently in place with no change and, due to the growth in the tax digest, increase the property taxes it will levy this year by 3.85% over the rollback millage rate.   The proposed county Maintenance & Operations rate remains unchanged at 4.642 mills. The proposed Fire rate remains unchanged at 1.975 mills. The proposed Bond rate remains unchanged at 1.419 mills.
