 Forsyth County Response to COVID-19

The July 7, 6:30 p.m. Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals Work Session and 7:00 p.m. Regular Meeting/ Public Hearing shall be both in person and via teleconference pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-14-1(g). The public notice listing the location and agenda for the Work Session is here, and public notice and agenda for the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing public hearing is here.


The public may physically attend these meetings. However due to COVID 19 concerns, remote viewing and participation is encouraged. Viewers may watch the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing on the County’s website: forsythco.com, as well as TV Forsyth, Comcast channel 23 and AT&T channel 99.  Both the Work Session and Regular Meeting/Public Hearing may be viewed on the Zoom app. Click here to access the Zoom link for remote watching. UPDATE: Due to the weather conditions, all general Forsyth County government offices will be closed all day on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. This includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse, the Animal Shelter, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services, and Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities. All Parks & Recreation programs and activities are cancelled today. The meeting of the Development Authority of Forsyth County scheduled for Thursday, January 18 has been cancelled.

January 7, 2018: Due to the weather conditions, the opening of all general Forsyth County government offices will be delayed until 1 p.m. on Monday, January 8. This includes county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services and Forsyth County Parks & Recreation's indoor and gated facilities.     All individuals scheduled to appear in court Monday morning should report at 1 p.m. Grand Jury has been cancelled.

Forsyth County government offices, the animal shelter, the three recreation centers, the three recycling convenience centers and the three Senior Services locations will be closed Monday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.   Have a safe and happy new year!

County Offices Closed for Christmas

County Offices Closed for Christmas
Forsyth County government offices, the animal shelter and Senior Services will be closed Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 in observance of Christmas. The three recycling convenience centers will be closed Monday, December 25, but will be open Dec. 26. The three recreation centers will be closed Sunday, December 24 through Tuesday, December 26.

All Parks & Recreation programs and activities are cancelled. The Board of Registrations and Elections meeting scheduled for today is postponed until Monday.
