The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 6, via a video and audio teleconference pursuant to O.C.G.A 50-14-1(g). For more information, click here. 

Family-friendly event is at Fowler Park


Forsyth County Parks & Recreation and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce present the 15th annual Play at the Park Family Fun Festival Saturday, September 30 at Fowler Park. The event is free to attend and offers family-friendly activities and entertainment.


“Our annual Play at the Park event is always a great opportunity for families to spend time together for a day of fun,” said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. “There will be plenty of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy and we are looking forward to another great turnout.”


From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a kids’ inflatable area, food trucks, petting zoo, train rides, music, animal adoptions, business, community and shopping vendors and more. Tethered hot air balloon rides will be offered from 1 to 8 p.m., weather permitting.


The Play at the Park Family Fun Festival will be held at Forsyth County’s Fowler Park at 4110 Carolene Way in south Forsyth County. For more information, visit or call (770) 781-2215. Volunteer opportunities are available.
