At the present time, all Forsyth County Boards and Commissioners are meeting live and in-person, but with both remote viewing and (in the case of public hearings or public comment) remote participation opportunities. Please click here for information on how to view, access and participate in these meetings.


During their July 9 regular meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed their support and appreciation for law enforcement at the local, State and federal level, and applauded their commitment to selfless service on behalf of Forsyth County, the State of Georgia and the nation.

There are approximately 800,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States, with more than 600 local law enforcement agencies in the state of Georgia and Forsyth County has the fourth largest full-service Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.
