As a mark of respect for Forsyth County Deputy Sheriff II Spencer Englett, flags at all public buildings and grounds are flying at half-staff. Deputy Englett suffered a traumatic medical event and died during training at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center-Pickens Law Enforcement Basic Academy.

Deputy Englett, Badge #3005, began his law enforcement career with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on May 1, 2017. He previously worked for the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. He was an exemplary deputy who served Forsyth County with distinction and honor. Deputy Englett was 29 years old and was recently married.
