2016 Budget Adopted

At their November 19, 2015 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners adopted the county’s 2016 operating budget. The 2016 General Fund budget totals approximately $108.92 million. Santa Will Be Calling Local Children Again this Year

Forsyth County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce their annual Santa’s Calling program. Santa has set aside two special evenings to call children ages 3 through 10 to listen to their personal Christmas wishes. The phone calls will take place on Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9 between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Santa is very busy during this time of year. Lady Justice Sculpture Unveiled

Lady Justice Sculpture Unveiled
A sculpture of Lady Justice was unveiled Friday, November 6, in front of the Forsyth County Courthouse in downtown Cumming. Designed by local sculptor Gregory Johnson, Lady Justice symbolizes the fair and equal administration of the law, without corruption, avarice, prejudice or favor. A special thanks is extended to the Forsyth County Development Authority for their contribution toward the statue.

The Probate Court of Forsyth County has moved into its new offices in the Forsyth County Courthouse Annex. The address is 100 West Courthouse Square, Suite 008. Probate Court is located on the lower level of the Courthouse Annex, accessible via the rear entrance to the building. The Probate Court telephone number is (770) 781-2140.
