Forsyth County Board of Commissioners Elects Officers for 2019
During their first meeting of the year on January 4, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners elected officers for 2019. District 5 Commissioner Laura Semanson was elected to serve as chairman; District 4 Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills was elected to serve as vice chairman; and District 2 Commissioner Dennis Brown will serve as secretary. The Board of Commissioners is made up of five members, each living in a specific district and elected by their district to serve four-year terms. Each year in January, the five members elect officers for the coming year.

Updated Information on Proposed Reclamation Facility in Northeast Forsyth
Forsyth County is planning to design and construct a water reclamation facility that uses advanced wastewater treatment on a 99-acre site in the northeastern portion of the county. At the Wednesday, December 12 Town Hall meeting, attendees submitted questions regarding the proposed new facility. Two Forsyth County Commissioners Sworn In
In a ceremony held Monday, December 17 at the Forsyth County Administration Building, the newest member of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners took her oath of office. Newly-elected Forsyth County District 1 Commissioner Molly Cooper was sworn in during a ceremony by Forsyth County Probate Judge Woody Jordan. District 1 covers much of the central and western portions of the county. Cooper fills the post held by R.J. (Pete) Amos who did not run for re-election.
