Update: At their meeting June 15, 2017, the Board of Commissioners approved extension of the moratorium until August 18, 2017. On Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 5 p.m., the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider a possible extension until August 18, 2017, of the moratorium barring the acceptance of applications for permits to upgrade non-conforming signs to Electronic Message Boards. Chattahoochee Pointe Park Will Close Temporarily Beginning May 30
The trail’s soft-surface material will be coated with a polymer product Chattahoochee Pointe park is scheduled to close Tuesday, May 30, for approximately one week in order to coat the trail with a polymer product. This trail improvement was planned in conjunction with the recent Chattahoochee Pointe park improvements but needed the right outdoor temperature to complete the work. The polymer product, called M10+50, is a long-lasting, cost-effective solution to maintaining the life of the trail. Fire Department promoted two, and graduated 12 In a ceremony held Monday, May 15, the Forsyth County Fire Department presented awards, promoted two personnel and graduated its newest recruit class. Family, friends and Fire Department staff attended the ceremony held at North Forsyth High School. Awards were presented to personnel in the first portion of the ceremony. Four Life Saved awards were presented to Fire Department personnel in recognition of outstanding actions over the past several years.
