Event slated for first three Saturdays in May The Forsyth County Fire Department is joining more than 100 fire departments across Georgia to help “Give Burns the Boot”® during their annual boot drive benefiting the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. Weather permitting, motorists can expect to see firefighters at intersections throughout the county on three upcoming Saturdays: May 7, 14 and 21. Donations collected during the boot drive will be presented to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. 18 recruits graduate to become firefighters   In a ceremony held Friday, April 29, the Forsyth County Fire Department presented a number of awards, promoted nine personnel and graduated its newest recruit class. The informational presentation will be regarding the Wal-Mart store at Highway 369/GA 400.   The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners May 5, 2016 meeting will take place at 5 p.m. in the Forsyth County Administration Building (Suite 220), located at 110 E.
