Fundraiser held first three Fridays and Saturdays in May The Forsyth County Fire Department will join more than 100 fire departments across Georgia to help “Give Burns the Boot”® during their upcoming annual boot drive benefiting the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. Ninth annual program available for rising seventh and eighth-graders  The Forsyth County Fire Department invites Forsyth County students interested in learning what it takes to be a firefighter to sign up for a free weeklong daytime summer camp program. Time change is a helpful reminder to replace batteries The Forsyth County Fire Department reminds residents to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when they set their clocks back an hour this Sunday, Nov. 4.  The Forsyth County Fire Department suggests that if the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are serviceable, they should be changed every six to twelve months. Prior to replacing the batteries, review the recommendations provided by the unit’s manufacturer, and replace the units themselves every seven to ten years.
