 Forsyth County Response to COVID-19

The July 7, 6:30 p.m. Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals Work Session and 7:00 p.m. Regular Meeting/ Public Hearing shall be both in person and via teleconference pursuant to O.C.G.A. 50-14-1(g). The public notice listing the location and agenda for the Work Session is here, and public notice and agenda for the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing public hearing is here.


The public may physically attend these meetings. However due to COVID 19 concerns, remote viewing and participation is encouraged. Viewers may watch the Regular Meeting/Public Hearing on the County’s website: forsythco.com, as well as TV Forsyth, Comcast channel 23 and AT&T channel 99.  Both the Work Session and Regular Meeting/Public Hearing may be viewed on the Zoom app. Click here to access the Zoom link for remote watching. For the fifth consecutive year, Forsyth County has been named the healthiest county in Georgia. The distinction comes as part of the annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps study initiated by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. The rankings are based on county residents’ quality of life and length of life, and the report presents a series of other factors that help influence those criteria. Improvements Completed at Forsyth County’s Chattahoochee Pointe
Ribbon cutting ceremony held to commemorate improvements   Improvements were recently completed at Forsyth County’s Chattahoochee Pointe, a 119-acre park located at 5790 Chattahoochee Pointe Drive in south Forsyth County. The improvements include extending the park’s existing trail to create a 5K trail and adding a new restroom building. Forsyth County Commissioners Sworn In
In a ceremony held December 21, 2016, at the Forsyth County Administration Building, one re-elected and two newly-elected members of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners were sworn in. Forsyth County Probate Judge Woody Jordan officiated. District 4 Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills was sworn in to serve her second term. Laura Semanson was sworn in as the new District 5 commissioner, and Rick Swope was sworn in as the incoming commissioner for District 2.
