Water Restriction Information

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Board adopted a new drought management rule in 2015 which updated outdoor watering restriction.

Forsyth County is in Drought Response Level 1

October 18, 2019 - Georgia EPD declares Drought Response Level 1 for 103 counties in Georgia, including Forsyth County, due to worsening drought conditions throughout the State.  Forsyth County is now in a Drought Response Level 1 water use schedule.  This water schedule allows all types of water use, but landscape water only before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. daily.  This is done to limit evaporation during the warmest part of the day.  All citizens are urged to be good stewards of our water resources.

New Landscape Exemption

New Landscape Exemption Forms are not required when non-drought restrictions are in place.
