Animal Services Division

Animal services works in partnership with the community to create a safe, healthy and caring environment for both our citizens and animals.  Animal services maintains this through the education and enforcement of county ordinances as they pertain to the control of animals in Forsyth County.  Animal Services officers are available Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m.- 6:30 p.m.  Officers are available for animal emergencies 24/7.  Animal services responds to complaints regarding barking dogs, animals running loose, animal cruelty, sick or injured animals, classified animals, aggressive animals and bites from animals.  Animal service does not respond to deer, snakes, bears, hawks or wildlife.

Animals that are impounded shall be transported to Forsyth County Animal Shelter located at 4065 County Way, Cumming, GA. 30028.

Forsyth Animal Services requires all animals that are over 3 months of age to be vaccinated against rabies per county code 14-104.

If you have questions regarding a report that was filed or would like a copy, you may request this through the open records via our administrative office.
