8/21/2012 - Board of Voter Registrations and Elections

The Forsyth County Board of Voter Registrations and Elections hereby provides public notice of the County Election Superintendent’s intent to begin the absentee ballot tabulation process prior to the close of the polls on August 21, 2012. Pursuant to Official Code of Georgia Annotated § 21-2-386(a)(3), the Forsyth County Election Superintendent shall open absentee ballots and begin tabulating absentee ballots beginning at 5:00 p.m. on August 21, 2012 in order to expedite the final tabulation of absentee ballots. The tabulation process will be monitored as authorized by law. In addition, all persons conducting the tabulation of absentee ballots on August 21, 2012, including the Vote Review Panel required by law, shall be sequestered until the time for the closing of the polls.
