PUBLIC NOTICE

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a Work Session on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Conference Room, Suite 210 in the Forsyth County Administration Building, located at 110 East Main Street, Cumming, Georgia 30040.

The purpose of the Work Session will be for discussion and consideration of the items as outlined on the attached agenda and such other business as may properly come before the Board.

(5) RFP 09-56-1500 for Design/Build of Animal Shelter – Procurement Director.

(6) RFP 10-30-1500 for the Operations & Maintenance of an Animal Shelter – Procurement Director.

(7) Acceptance of Hazard Mitigation Grant application award to facilitate updating the County/City Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan required by the state for disaster funding eligibility – EMA Director.

(8) Adoption of Resolution regarding a mid-year budget adjustment for State Court in the constitutionally mandated line item of juror fees (100.1220.52182) in the amount of $9,000.00 in order to cover current and future expected expenditures in this line item for 2010 – Court Administrator.

(9) Adoption of Resolution regarding a mid-year budget adjustment for Superior Court in the constitutionally mandated line items of juror fees (100.1205.52182) in the amount of $12,500.00 and court interpreters (100.1205.52188) in the amount of $5,000.00 in order to cover current and future expected expenditures in these line items for 2010 – Court Administrator.

(10) Request Board of Commissioners direction for 2011 budget amendments related to grant activity only – Interim Assistant Director of Finance.

(11) Consideration of new hours recommended by staff and the Recreation Board for Central Park Recreation Center – Director of Parks & Recreation.

(12) Authorization to submit 2011 Transportation Enhancement (TE) application for the McFarland Road/Shiloh Road Sidewalk Project – District #2 – Director of Engineering.

(13) Consideration of County initiated variance application – District #3 – Interim Director of Planning & Development.

(14) Request authorization to advertise for a Public Hearing regarding a county initiated expedited rezoning from RES3 to A1 for Charles S. Allen – District #4 – Interim Director of Planning & Development.

(15) Request authorization to advertise for a Public Hearing regarding a county initiated expedited rezoning from RES3 to A1 for Marty and Pam Grogan – District #2 – Interim Director of Planning & Development.

(16) Acceptance of proposed buffers and setbacks for the Post Road Library Project – Director of Libraries.

(20) Adoption of Resolution to appoint Tim Merritt as the County Legislative Coordinator for Forsyth County with Carol Haag to be assigned as support and backup – County Manager.

(21) Board consideration of assembling Public Facilities Authority – County Attorney.

(22) Ratification of Capps Settlement Agreement – County Attorney.

(23) Buckhorn county-initiated rezoning – Commissioner Bell/County Attorney.

(24) Board consideration of License Agreement for Historical Society’s limited use of the Fowler Property – County Attorney/Deputy County Manager.
