III. Announcements

Pursuant to Section 8-3.4 (E) of the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County, the findings and decisions of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be final unless a person aggrieved shall, within ten (10) days of such decision, petition the Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County to review the decision. At the end of the (10) day period, it shall be the responsibility of each applicant to check with the Department of Planning and Development to confirm whether or not such an appeal has been made.

Pursuant to Section 8-3.4 (B) of the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County, persons wishing to speak on any proposal shall provide their name, address, and telephone number to the Department of Planning and Development staff prior to the time of speaking at this public hearing. You may obtain a copy of this form in the foyer of this meeting room.

Attorney Ethan Underwood, on behalf of Fidelis Signature Homes, request postponement of appeal application AP080003 until the August 6, 2008.

1. AP080003 - Fidelis Signature Homes
This request involves an appeal of fines imposed by the Forsyth County Department of Engineering.

The property is located in Cottages at Creekstone, Lot #12, 2580 Hillandale Circle and is currently zoned (RES4) Single Family Residential Four Units/Acre District. This property is in Commission District #1.

1. VA080036 - Dennis Cronin
This request involves an exterior yard variance of 32 feet to allow a shed to remain 18 feet from the rear property line rather than the required 50 feet.

The property is located in Sweetbriar Subdivision, Lot #72, 4775 Wexford Drive and is currently zoned (R2R) Single Family Residential Restricted District. This property is in Commission District #3.
2. VA080037 - Blue Haven Pools of Georgia Inc.
This request involves an exterior yard variance of 33 feet to allow a swimming pool to be 17 feet from the rear property line rather than the required 50 feet.

This request involves a structure separation variance of 10 feet to allow two structures to be 10 feet apart rather than the required 20 feet.

5. VA080041 - Sawnee View Farms Homeowners Association Inc.
This request involves an exterior yard variance of 30 feet to allow a pergola to be built 20 feet from the rear property line rather than the required 50 feet.

The property is located in Sawnee View Farms Subdivision, 3060 Sawnee Lake Lane and is currently zoned (R2R) Single Family Residential Restricted District. This property is in Commission District #1.

This request involves a stream buffer variance of 50 feet to allow a stream channel to be graded and restored.
