(1) Due to the July 4th holiday, the Board of Commissioners’ Regular/Public Hearings Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 3rd has been rescheduled. The July 3rd meeting will be combined with the Regular Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2008.

(6) The following items were discussed and unanimously approved at a Called Meeting/Work Session held on June 10, 2008:

(A) Adoption of Rural Fire Defense Memorandum of Understanding between Georgia Forestry Commission and Forsyth County Fire Department – County Attorney.

(B) Approval of submission of the 2008 SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Responses) Grant in the amount of $2.14M over a four-year period – Grants Administrator.

(C) Approval of a tenth year Victim’s of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant application for the purpose of funding the Victim Witness Assistance Office within the District Attorney’s Office – Grants Administrator.

(D) Approval of an eighth year Victim’s of Crime Act (VOCA) Grant application for the purpose of funding the Victim’s Advocate Unit within the Sheriff’s Office – Grants Administrator.

(E) Approval to donate surplus computer and various electronic equipment to Atlanta Recycling Solutions – Director of Fleet Maintenance.

(F) Approval to declare as surplus property, wooden chairs, tables and benches and place on GovDeals Internet Sales – Director of Fleet Maintenance.

(G) Acceptance of Bid #08-10-3150 for the construction of the Big Creek Trail Phase 1 – Procurement Director.

(H) Acceptance of RFP #08-55-2210 for the purchase of a Surveillance Van for the Sheriff’s Office – Procurement Director.

(I) Approval of Scope Change Authorization with Jordan, Jones & Goulding (JJ&G) to Task Order Number 1 for Water Supply Reservoir Evaluations approved on May 17, 2007 – Director of Water & Sewer.

(J) Approval of Brunson Right-of-Way Exchange – County Attorney.

VIII. Public Hearings:

(1) Request by Harold Buckley, Jr. on behalf of TRG Forsyth, LLC to amend zoning conditions placed on ZA# 2605 (Rouse-Forsyth, LLC) – ZCA# AZ080009 – District #3 – Director of Planning & Development.
(Postponed from 04/03/08; 04/17/08 and 05/15/08 Agendas).

(2) Request by Harold Buckley, Jr. on behalf of TRG Forsyth, LLC to amend zoning conditions placed on ZA# 3050 (Greenstone Properties, Inc. of Georgia) – ZCA# AZ080008 – District #3 – Director of Planning & Development.
(Postponed from 04/03/08; 04/17/08 and 05/15/08 Agendas).

IX. Old Business:

(1) Rezoning request: (Director of Planning & Development)

(A) Gary Magee, ZA# 3475, A1 to CBD with a Conditional Use Permit for the development of outside storage and RV and boat storage – District #1.
(Postponed from 05/15/08 Agenda).

(2) Proposed changes to the Unified Development Code (Ordinance #87) pertaining to outdoor lighting – Senior Long Range Planner.
(Public Hearing held 06/05/08 – postponed decision to 06/19/08).

(3) Request by Caliber Craft Homes, LLC to amend zoning conditions placed on ZA# 3089 (Edge City Properties, Inc.) and a variance to the UDC, Table 11.2(b) – ZCA# AZ080018 – District #2 – Director of Planning & Development.
(Public Hearing held 06/05/08 – postponed decision to 06/19/08).



New Business:

(1) Rezoning requests: (Director of Planning & Development)

(A) ESES Properties, LLC, ZA# 3469, A1 to NS – District #3.

(B) Greenspace Properties, LLC, ZA# 3477, RES-3 to A1 with a variance to sewer requirements – District #1.

(C) Steve Manning, ZA# 3478, R1 to CBD with a variance to the setback requirements, a variance to the buffer requirements and a variance to the parking requirements – District #5.

(2) Hearing in reference to alleged alcohol ordinance violation by Granny’s, Named Licensee is Malik Pirani – District #4 – County Manager.

(3) Adoption of Resolution approving the revised budget for the SPLOST V Projects – Chief Financial Officer.
(Previously discussed and considered at a Called Meeting/Work Session held on June 10, 2008.

(4) Appointment/reappointment of member to the Board of Tax Assessors for Commission District #1 (the term of Michael Busse will expire on 06/28/08) – Chairman Laughinghouse/County Manager.
