GDOT Announces Maintenance Activities

September 14, 2012: The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) announces routine maintenance activities planned for next week in Forsyth County.

Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures. This is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change. 

WHEN:         Daily Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 21 with work hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits.

WHAT and WHERE:         

SR 400 mowing in Dawson and Forsyth (projected to finish Tuesday)

·         Mowing from SR 60 in Dawson to the Forsyth/Fulton county line

Forsyth
·         Mowing on SR 306, SR 9 and on SR 369
·         Guardrail repair at damaged locations on SR 9

Motorists should reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
