September 3-7, 2012 Proclaimed Civic Participation Week in Forsyth County
At their August 16 meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners proclaimed September 3-7, 2012 as Civic Participation Week in Forsyth County. Civic Participation week serves as a time to encourage residents to participate in their community by volunteering their time and talent, contributing to worthy organizations or causes, communicating their ideas, and voting.
“During this week, American democracy and civic participation will be showcased in honor of the courageous spirit of the American people, and tribute will be paid to those souls lost in the fight for freedom of the American people,” Commission Chairman Jim Boff read from the Resolution.
