GDOT Announces Overnight Work on SR 400
Updated August 20, 2012: Georgia DOT announces overnight lane closures are planned to begin Tuesday, August 21, to resurface SR 400 from SR 306 in Forsyth County to SR 53 in Dawson County. Work was planned to begin tonight but weekend rain delayed the work.
August 13, 2012: The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced overnight lane closures beginning Monday, August 20 on State Route 400 from State Route 306 in Forsyth County to State Route 53 in Dawson County.
The project will remove rough pavement on SR 400 and replace it with a smoother driving surface. Work will begin on SR 400 at SR 53 and work southbound, one lane at a time. Work is scheduled to occur overnights Sundays through Thursdays. Southbound lane closure hours are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and northbound lane closure hours are scheduled for 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., weather permitting. No daytime lane closures or weekend lane closures are planned.
The project is scheduled for completion on November 30, 2012.
