“Shady Grove Campground continues to be a fantastic amenity for Forsyth County,” Assistant Director of Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Tommy Bruce said. “We are very proud to be able to offer such a high quality campground for our residents and visitors alike.”
This will be just the second camping season since the county made a variety of improvements at Shady Grove Campground. Projects, which were completed during the off-season prior to the 2011 camping season, included expanded camping pads for larger recreational vehicles, a grassy play area and a shoreline restoration. These improvements were made possible by the Parks, Recreation and Green Space Bond approved by voters in February 2008.
Shady Grove Campground is located at 7800 Shadburn Ferry Road in Cumming on the shores of Lake Lanier.
