Amendments Approved Regarding Forsyth County Ordinances 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved amending Ordinances 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 at their regular meeting Thursday, March 4, 2010.
The amendments were necessary to make county code consistent with state law. Amendments included: abolishment of Forsyth County’s Ordinance 1 and the adoption of a new Ordinance regarding the Georgia Uniform Rules of the Road; abolishment of Ordinance 2 and the adoption of a new Ordinance regarding the prohibition of minors from entering establishments providing electro-mechanical amusement devices if alcohol is present; abolishment of Ordinance 3 in its entirety in accord with O.C.G.A. § 16-7-21; abolishment of Ordinance 4 and the adoption of a new Ordinance to prohibit public drunkenness in accord with O.C.G.A. § 16-11-41; and abolishment of Ordinance 5 and the adoption of a new Ordinance to prohibit disorderly conduct in accord with O.C.G.A. § 16-11-39.
Public hearings on this matter were held February 4 and March 4.
