Georgia state law requires all counties to plan and forecast government programs, revenues and expenditures on an annual basis. Forsyth County adopts an annual budget that is based on a fiscal year from January through December. The Finance Department coordinates, analyzes, and presents the County’s annual budget.
Once the budget has been approved by the Board of Commissioners the Finance Department prepares an official budget document. Throughout the year the budget is monitored meticulously by the Finance Department who offers support and guidance to the county commissioners, departments and offices.
Copies of the budget document are available for review at the Administration reception desk, the Finance Department’s reception area, and on the county's website.
