November 14, 2017: In a ceremony held today at the Forsyth County Administration Building, the newest member of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners took his oath of office. Newly-elected Forsyth County District 2 Commissioner Dennis T. Brown was sworn in during the ceremony by Forsyth County Probate Judge Woody Jordan.   The Board of Commissioners is made up of five members, each living in a specific district and elected by their district to serve four-year terms. Beginning Monday, November 13, a contractor will be picking up storm debris left behind by Tropical Storm Irma from within the right of way along Forsyth County-maintained roads. The work will be performed by two contactors.
