An Award of Financial Reporting Achievement was also presented to Forsyth County Chief Financial Officer David Gruen, as the individual primarily responsible for preparing the award-winning CAFR. “To be a part of a county recognized for this achievement seventeen consecutive years is an honor. The recognition signifies the hard work and determination of the Finance Department personnel,” Gruen said. Forsyth County’s CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR. The CAFR is available for review on the Finance Department page of the county website at forsythco.com.
