In this role, Coleman will oversee operations of the county’s Engineering, Recycling & Solid Waste, Fleet Services and Public Facilities departments. Forsyth Named State’s Healthiest County for Sixth Consecutive Year
For the sixth consecutive year, Forsyth County has been named the healthiest county in Georgia. The distinction comes as part of the annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps study initiated by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. In Forsyth County, if you own a property, reside on that property and are a legal resident of the county, all as of January 1 of the tax year, you may qualify for homestead exemption. You may apply for exemptions year-round, however, you must apply by Monday, April 2 to receive the benefits for 2018. Level 1 Drought Response Lifted

The Georgia Environmental Protection Division has lifted the Level 1 Drought Response in Forsyth County. All Georgians must still follow the state’s non-drought outdoor water use schedule which allows all types of outdoor water use, but landscape watering only before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. daily to limit evaporation during the warmest part of the day. Many types of outdoor water use are allowed under the law. For details: https://goo.gl/E2JzHx.
