More than twenty vendors will be selling an assortment of household items   Forsyth County Parks & Recreation invites residents to a community yard sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. Town Hall Meeting to Focus on Proposed Continuation of SPLOST Sales Tax
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a town hall meeting Thursday, April 12, at 6 p.m. as the next step in discussions regarding the proposed continuation of the county’s SPLOST penny sales tax. SPLOST stands for Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. It is a special one percent voter-approved sales and use tax in Forsyth County for a specified period of time (up to six years), raising an estimated amount of revenue for designated programs or named capital items. Personnel receive awards for life-saving actions In a ceremony held Thursday, March 29, the Forsyth County Fire Department presented awards, promoted four personnel and swore in four new firefighters. Family, friends and Fire Department staff attended the ceremony held at the Central Park Recreation Center.
