Students recognized at Board of Commissioners meeting The Forsyth County Fire Department is pleased to announce the winners of the department’s 2018 Fire Safety Poster Contest. Forsyth County Parks & Recreation’s Old Atlanta Park Spray Pad to Open May 26
Spray pad will be open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day Forsyth County’s popular spray pad, located at Old Atlanta Park, will open for the season beginning Saturday, May 26, and will remain open through September 3. Hours of operation for the spray pad are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., May 26 through August 1. Beginning August 2 until September 3, the hours will be Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  Daily admission for the spray pad is $2 per person (1 year old ...

Trail for Visually Impaired Now Open at Fowler Park
A Braille Trail with a sensory garden is now open at Fowler Park.   Fowler Park’s Braille Trail is located near the entrance to the Big Creek Greenway in Fowler Park. The trail is approximately 200 yards in length and is comprised of eight braille signs and two sensory gardens.   “This project began in early 2017 and was made possible by the Forsyth County Lions Club in partnership with Ms. Fedorchuk’s 4th grade class at Kelly Mill Elementary School,” said Jim Pryor, Director Parks & Recreation.  The Braille Trail has guide ropes located on the right side for visually impaired individuals to navigate ...

New Trails Now Open in Forsyth County
Trails are now open at Lanierland Park and Matt Community Park in north Forsyth County.
