Forsyth County Fire Department Command Staff Danny D. Bowman Chief of Department and Emergency Management Agency Director
Fire Chief and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Danny Bowman is responsible for all aspects of fire and rescue operations for Forsyth County, oversees all EMA operations, and directs and advises on Homeland Security issues. Bowman joined the Forsyth County Fire Department as division fire chief in 2001, and was promoted to assistant fire chief and EMA director in 2002. He has served as chief of department since July 2003. Starting his career as a firefighter for the Atlanta Fire Department in 1968, Bowman worked his way up the ranks, eventually serving in the chief administrator capacity for the newly formed Fulton County Fire Department and later as the deputy fire chief, interim fire chief and battalion chief for Fulton County. He is active in the community and fire services industry, previously holding the position of president for both the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs and the Metropolitan Atlanta Area Fire Chiefs Association. He also served on the Thompson Group, a Washington, D.C. advisory panel for the Fair Labor and Standards Act.
Brenda Green Division Chief, Fire Administration Division Chief Green is responsible for the administration capacities of the department and oversees daily management of the budget and the department's quartermaster. She joined the department in 1995 and formerly held the position of administrative assistant, senior. Jason Shivers Division Chief, Technical Services Division Chief Shivers is responsible for the training, emergency medical services, and motor maintenance components of the department. He also acts as the department's spokesperson and public information officer and acts as the coordinator for the county's Insurance Services Office review. He joined the department in 1998 and has held the positions of firefighter/EMT, fire lieutenant, and inspector general. Kevin Wallace Division Chief, Field Operations Division Chief Wallace is directly responsible for the daily field operations of the department and supervises the six (6) battalion chiefs. All fire station operations and emergency response are under his command. Since joining Forsyth County Fire in 1987 he has held the titles of firefighter/EMT, Sheriff's deputy, fire inspector, fire investigator, deputy fire marshal, and fire marshal. Barry Head Division Chief, Fire Marshal Division Chief Head manages and oversees the Fire Marshal’s Office to include the Fire/Explosive Investigations Unit, the Code Compliance/Enforcement Division, and the Public Education Division. Battalion Chiefs A-Shift James Hildebrand First Battalion Chief, A-Shift A-Shift First Battalion Chief James Hildebrand joined the Forsyth County Fire Department in 2002, following service with the Fulton County Fire Department and the Atlanta Fire Department. Lee Parker Second Battalion Chief, A-Shift B-Shift Second Battalion Chief Lee Parker joined the Forsyth County Fire Department in 1998, after serving as a staff instructor at the Georgia Fire Academy. He currently serves in the Air Force Reserves as chief master sergeant, fire protection manager and was activated for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. B-Shift Anthony Chapman First Battalion Chief, B-Shift B-Shift First Battalion Chief Anthony Chapman has held the titles of firefighter, lieutenant, captain and acting training chief for the Forsyth County Fire Department since joining in 1995. Chapman was promoted to battalion chief in 2001. Michael Sheuring Second Battalion Chief, B-Shift (Interim) C-Shift Tommy Coleman First Battalion Chief, C-Shift C-Shift First Battalion Chief Tommy Coleman joined Forsyth County in 1993, serving as captain prior to his promotion to battalion chief.
