NOTE: The last day for the governing authority of each county to fix and publish qualifying fees for candidates running for county offices, and for the Secretary of State to fix and publish qualifying fees for candidates running for federal and state offices is February 1, 2012.

In recent years, qualifying took place in April for one week. Due to the fact that in the even-numbered year immediately following the official release of the United States decennial census data to the states for the purpose of redistricting of the legislatures and the United States House of Representatives the 2012 General Primary will be held July 31, qualifying will take place during the days and hours listed above pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-153.
