Untitled DocumentCommercialThere are different applications required by the County for various types of permits. Some forms are available for download in PDF format for your convenience. To complete the application, click on the first field and type in your information. Use the tab key to move to the next field. Use mouse clicks to select or deselect the check boxes. For your convenience you may use the Bank Transaction Form to pay permit fees, reinspect fees, etc. The following descriptions will assist you in navigating the different commercial projects.  | Commercial Plan Review - Go here for more information on submitting plans, we offer electronic and standard paper submittal. Also, there is information on submitting revisions to plans on active permits. |
 | Demolition Permit - Permits are required for all commercial demolition projects. Interior demo projects are not typically required to go through the commercial plan review process unless the scope of work includes the alteration or removal of any fire rated assemblies or load bearing partitions. Some demo projects may not require a building plan prepared by a registered designer, however if the project involves removal of partitions and/ or ceilings, an 8½ x 11 drawing depicting the floor lay out and proposed changes is required. Licensed general contractors are required for demolition permits in accordance with Georgia Law O.C.G.A 43-31. Separate trade permits are required for any plumbing, electrical or HVAC removal. |
 | Swimming Pools - This permit is for all public swimming pools including pools located in residential amenity areas. |
 | Temporary Trailer - This permit is used for temporary construction offices used on both residential and commercial sites. |
| Electrical Only Permit | This permit is used when the scope of work is limited to electrical only work in or on a commercial building or property. This type of work does not require a plan review. |
| Electrical Permit | This is a permit used in conjuction with a building permit that has already been permited by Forsyth County for the purpose of performing electrical on site. |
| Mechanical Only Permit | This permit is used when the scope of work is limited to HVAC work only in or on a commercial building or property. This type of work does not require a plan review. |
| Mechanical Permit | This is a permit used in conjuction with a building permit that has already been permited by Forsyth County for the purpose of performing HVAC on site. |
| Plumbing Only Permit | This permit is used when the scope of work is limited to plumbing work only in or on a commercial building or property. This type of work does not require a plan review. |
