New procedures are in effect for concealed weapons permits.

All applicants, new or renewal, must now undergo a criminal records check.

The applicant must be at least 21 years of age and be a resident of Forsyth County. He or she must have an approved ID and submit a $74.25 fee payable in cash only to the Probate Court of Forsyth County.
