Comprehensive Plan UpdateForsyth County is currently updating the Comprehensive Plan, a document that addresses current and anticipated, future conditions within the county related to population, housing, economic development, natural and cultural resources, land use, community facilities and infrastructure as well as intergovernmental coordination. The purpose of this document is to assess existing conditions and adequately plan for future expansion related to projected growth rates. The community is invited to partake in visioning how this growth can be accommodated over the next twenty years. Project Management Team The project management team is composed of professional county staff that administers and manages the entire Comprehensive Plan update process.
Steering Committee The steering committee is composed of nine representatives who meet during the Community Agenda process to provide advisement to the project management team.
Meetings Community workshops are scheduled from the fall of 2010 through 2011 to receive public input for the Comprehensive Plan update.
Documents Components of the Comprehensive Plan draft are available for review throughout the public participation process.
