Where can I find invoice payment or 1099 information?

The Accounts Payable function area is responsible for the disbursement of utilities payments, check requests, and internal reimbursements. It also controls payment of county vendors through a weekly payment distribution. All management of county invoices is assigned to the Accounts Payable function area.  The Accounts Payable function area Is also responsible for the annual distribution of IRS Form 1099-MISC vendors.

Accounts Payable issues payments weekly. Contact staff in Accounts Payable to determine if an invoice has been approved for payment at accountspayable@forsythco.com, or call 770-886-2820.

Where do I send Hotel/Motel Tax payments?

The Finance Department is responsible for the collection of Hotel/Motel taxes.  Taxes collected will be based on the occupancy at each individual hotel/motel.

About the Finance Department

Located in the Forsyth County Administration Building, the Forsyth County Finance Department is the centralized focal point for financial programs and activities and provides financial leadership in the County’s goals.

The Finance Department contains several responsibilities within function areas. The responsibilities and functions of the Finance Department provides financial support to all departments; contributes to the implementation of goals and objectives established by the Board of Commissioners; guides the County on debt matters; analyzes financial data; assists in making sound financial decisions; and assures compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
